“Finding Meaning and Hope” will explore skills that help you stay strong, healthy, resilient, and positive as you navigate your caregiving journey with healing and hope.
Ambiguous loss and grief are two common issues amongst caregivers, and yet, there is not much conversation or discussion about how this ambiguity affects caregivers. Many caregivers often have the feeling, but they don’t have the words to name the loss and grief that they are feeling. This 10-week class will explore how caregivers experience ambiguous loss and grief on their caregiving journey, even though the person they are caring for is still physically present. How can family caregivers regain hope and build resilience when dealing with feelings of ongoing loss while caring for someone with a chronic illness?
This 10-week discussion series features videos based on the book, “Loving Someone Who Has Dementia: How to Find Hope While Coping with Stress and Grief” by Pauline Boss, Ph.D., a leading expert on caregiver grief.
Registration is required.
